TLWD: comprehension of literary and rhetorical devices by identifying and interpreting representative material accurately in class activities and discussion.

Journal: Write a brief fictionalized potential response (positive or negative); relating to the details of yesterday’s memoir from the perspective of someone else who lives in the same community.

to get a feel for McCourt's Limerick. Or at least the Limerick it has become. Be sure to read about the public reaction to his memoir in his hometown.

Then post a blog entry including your reaction to the information in general, as well as responses to the following questions: -

- Do you think the people of Limerick are being fair in their judgment?

-How would your friends and neighbors react if a book like McCourt's came out about our area? (Due Friday!)
